These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PuffDown iOS app. By using the app you agree to these Terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

What PuffDown is

PuffDown is a tool to help you track, reduce, and quit vaping — a puff counter, a gradual taper plan, craving support, and progress stats. It is designed to support cessation, not to promote or facilitate vaping.

Not medical advice

PuffDown is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The taper plan, recovery milestones, and any health-related information are general, informational guidance based on public-health sources, and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional help because of anything in the app. If you have a medical condition or concerns about nicotine withdrawal, consult a doctor or a recognized quit service. The app makes no treatment claims and does not provide dosing advice for nicotine-replacement therapy or any other product.

Age

Because PuffDown references tobacco and vaping in a cessation context, it is rated 17+ on the App Store. The app is intended for adults working to reduce or quit. You must be old enough to use the App Store under Apple's terms in your region.

No account needed

PuffDown has no sign-in. Your puff logs, plan and stats are stored on your device. You are responsible for your device and, if you wish, for keeping your own backups (for example by exporting your data to CSV from Settings).

Subscriptions & purchases

The puff counter and your money-saved stats are free forever. PuffDown Pro unlocks the taper plan engine, the Apple Watch app, lock-screen Live Activity and widgets, craving SOS, and full insights:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends; manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. Unused free-trial time, if any, is forfeited when you purchase. The Lifetime option is a one-time, non-renewing purchase. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before you buy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, reverse engineer it, or use it for unlawful purposes.

Disclaimer & liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any lost counts or data, and we do not warrant any particular health outcome. Your progress in quitting depends on many factors outside the app's control.

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
